OVERVIEW

I love Drugstore.com with all my heart. It is the best thing to happen to me since sliced bread. I get to stay home, order all of my dry household goods, beauty products and baby items from the comfort of my couch and just wait for the UPS guy to deliver it. I never have to load my kids in the car to get toilet paper or dishwashing detergent again!


PROS

1. Save on sales tax. Depending on what state you are in you will save on sales tax. I save 7% because I live in NJ.

2. Get cash back. Get 5% back on all of your purchases made at Drugstore.com to use on future purchases.

3. Free shipping on orders over $50.00. That is really easy to do if you stock up on household items especially if you have a baby at home.

4. Quick shipping. I generally receive my orders between 1-5 business days. I never let anything get too low so that I won't run out of anything.

5. Use ebates.com for even more cash back. Get 6% cash back from ebates.com if you shop at drugstore.com through ebates.

6. They have reviews from real customers at their site to help you decide on what to buy.

7. Convenience. Get your shopping done from your couch in your pajamas.

8. Drugstore.com keeps track of past purchases so you can easily add them to your cart without having to do a new search. You can delete items from this list that you no longer purchase in order to keep it current and useful. It lists on sale items at the top of the list. Even if you don't need the items, find out what is on sale to stock up and save even more!

9. Drugstore.com also offers a program called auto delivery. If you order certain household items on a regular basis, you can set up regular delivery of those items every 30, 45, 60, 90 or 180 days.

10. There are always sales and promotions. You can get free sample products for purchasing certain items. Find the deals on the homepage.

11. They are partners with Beauty.com so you can get your makeup, skin and beauty products with your Drugstore.com order.


CONS


1. Not the best selection. They don't have a huge variety of products to choose from in every category. For example, you'll only find Ziploc and Rite Aid brand storage bags so if you want Glad or Reynolds you are out of luck.

2. Can be more expensive than your local discount store. Even while saving on sales tax and getting your cash back, it can cost just as much or more than your local discount store. Formula is cheaper when you factor in the sales tax savings and cash back while baby food is much more expensive.

3. If your order is too heavy, free standard shipping no longer applies. Sometimes I have to finagle my order to make sure I am getting everything I need but still get free shipping. You can do this by ordering two separate $50.00 orders.
