On 8/16/04 I received a confirmation of my order, and they indicated they would email me when the item was shipped. No email, but the website indicates the estimated arrival date is 8/23/04. I sent two emails to them asking the status of the order and received the canned response indicating I would get a response within 24 hours. No responses. Then I called customer service and they were going to check on it and get back to me. That was about a week ago and still no word on my order.

I will not be doing business with this company in the future. Not only are they not able to fill their orders in a timely manner, but their Customer Service demeanor is less than professional.

I was not informed by their customer service for an item ordered which became out of stock after my order was placed. I was told only when I called them after the estimated delivery date lapsed and no response received on my previous email inquiring about my order status. The problem is till pending even though it has been two weeks and several emails sent and phone calls made. According to their email, they are committed to provide an answer within 24 hours, but they never did.

Finally, an email came on 17 July saying that they can ship that item to me but another email came on 19 July from another customer service specialist confirming the order is canceled. Later, another email came on 20 July saying that my order is too late to be canceled but I can return it within 30 days with refund excluding shipping charges. I don't want to go through the "return" routine since no goods received nor shipping information given. Still waiting for their response. No problem solved. Truly the worst customer service I have encountered so far for my online shopping experience.

I am very picky about purses. It takes me forever to find one that I like...not too big..not too small...handy pockets, etc. I've been looking for a backpack purse and couldn't find one that fit my requirements at the local department stores. So, I thought I'd check out eBags. I was very leery about searching for one online but figured I had nothing to lose since they offered free postage for returns. The photos of the bags are great. Most purses I looked at had at least two views. I am really happy with my purchase. The leather is soft as can be and the quality excellent. It was delivered in a very timely manner and was packaged with care. I am also planning to buy a regular backpack to use when traveling and I'm sure I'll buy it from eBags.

I was originally happy with eBags -- that is, until there was a problem and I had to deal with customer service. The emails that I received were rude and obnoxious. The subsequent phone call I made about an order ended with a "we'll definitely call you back tomorrow" - gee, no phone call. I called back after checking the tracking of my order online and found out that they had canceled my order without even notifying me over email!! I could have spend those two days shopping for the same bag at a place that had it in stock! Overall, a major thumbs down. I am never using eBags again-- it's not even worth the Northwest miles.

Originally, I was going to pan eBags, because I had ordered a bag (Burton Gig Bag) that was supposedly in stock, but turned out not to be. However, ebags gave me a 20% discount on any product, which I used to upgrade to the more expensive Burton Board Chamber. I thought this was more than fair. Plus, they managed to get the bag to me by my original delivery date.

I've bought a 26" upright Samsonite Aspire II in their clearance.
They have good selection, more than anything I have seen anywhere online or offline. The prices aren't as great as they claim though! I could have got a better bang out of my bucks at sears which was offering the new Samsonite line for almost the same price.

Shipping was fast. I would recommend them since you will get a lot of stuff to choose from and they have lots of information on their products and also you can research them based on the customer reviews.
