Quirky-products hidden defects dishonorable rebate-malpractices bait-n-switch

Having dealt with this company over the space of several years, -I have one analogy for anyone with a memory & a brain: "DAMARK".
Sure, the selling presentation is TOP NOTCH.  BUT: The merchandise is SUB PAR -- often with little quirks that translate into "Oh, now I know why the manufacture dumped the entire line".  I stopped doing business with them shortly after my 1st set of issues arose -- but I recently recieved a "gift" from somebody who has shopped with them & my refurbished "gift" has a real set of "issues" of it's own.  These bargain-basement liquidators specialize in selling the oopses & afterthoughts of mass marketing & hoping that you won't waste your time following up on the endless string of issues that will arise doing business with them.  When charges begin to appear on your credit card that you did not authorize --remember that I warned you.  When that "great deal" turnes into many hours on the phone going down dead ends seeking a "solution" -- remember that I warned you.  You'll have better success on eBay!  Trust me. I know!
If you understand how these liquidators (don't) work -- then you'll steer clear of deals that seem too good to be true (because they're not deals at all - truth disclosed).  My experience with e-Cost involved numerous shipments of defective items (often these defects were not immediately obvious & required research to determine which part was faulty. Eh, is it the monitor, the power supply or the cable?  Hmmmm...) & a repeated failure on their part to honor rebates (the rebates that made the deal so "great" in the 1st place).  Their shipping was also outrageous on the so-called "bargains".  I had hoped to never deal with them again ... & then I got my "gift".
Sigh.  You know: I've done my best to warn you. Caveat emptor!
