Product Description

 
Perfect as either a starter player or a second-room unit, the Apex AD-1165 does double duty as a movie source and a music player, giving you a choice of video outputs as well as decoding for the popular MP3 and WMA (Windows Media Audio) music formats. If you burn pictures from your digital camera to CD-Rs and CD-RWs, you can even use the player for watching slideshows right on your TV. Use standard CD-R/CD-RW media filled with JPEG images, or burn Kodak Picture CDs for even greater viewing options--fancy transitions, timing options, etc.

The Bottom Line: Save your cash for a better DVD player...fine for some occasional use but with issues.
Review: Apex is a recognizable brand name and it is usually associated with quality products. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this model (Apex Digital AD-1165 DVD Player) to anyone, NOT EVEN as a second unit for a child or bedroom.
