Easily move your Blackbird from car-to-car! Its sleek black aluminum design is small enough to fit in your jacket pocket! Plus you can connect Blackbird to a docking station, PMD-DOK1 (available March 2006), allowing it to be fully controlled through an Alpine 2006 touch screen AV head unit, such as the IVA-D310. Use the Blackbird alone, or use it through your AV head unit – it’s up to you!

Perfect GPS/MP3 combo idea, less than perfect execution in the real world.

The Bottom Line: The Blackbird is a great idea, but weeks of real-word use showed it's not up to reality. Paper maps are still a must, as are sharp eyes.
Review: The Blackbird seemed made for me when I first found it, around about early spring this year. I had been looking to add both a GPS and an MP3 player to my 'older' vehicle, when I spotted the Blackbird in a web search.

Hand held GPS that DOESN'T perform.

The Bottom Line: Save your money. UPDATE: For today's prices, this unit may just be worth trying.
Review: I purchased this unit as an alternative to purchasing the (very expensive) Alpine NVE-N872A. I loved the fact that it is so small and portable and that I could take it anywhere with me, but I soon began to loathe this little gadget.

The Bottom Line: This is the type of product that has you shaking your head and thinking why did they release a product that clearly does not work. Run Run fast!
