The Buick Regal returns for this model year with only minor changes. Available models include the LS and GS sedans. The Premium, Luxury and Prestige packages are all new packages for this year only available on the LS. The GS model includes a 3.8L 240 hp supercharged engine, the Gran Touring package, and the OnStar global positioning system as standard equipment. Both models offer the Joseph Abboud Special Appearance package which features many upgrades including a sunroof and a unique Rich Chestnut and Taupe interior. Standard safety advancements on both models include a lower anchor child restraint latch and traction control. The only new exterior color for the year is Dark Bronzemist metallic.

More Than We'd Bargained for

Pros: Powerful, smooth engine, long list of standard features, high gas mileage, keyless entry, etc.
Cons: Seats could be more supportive, not for the twisties, occasional rattle.
The Bottom Line: Won't get more car for money. Safe, classy, powerful--will get you dates, clients, and the respect of your wife.

2002 Regal: So Far So Good

Pros: number of options for price;best mid-size value for room & horsepower;decent ride
Cons: tired design..same as all buick models;rear seat room; trunk space
The Bottom Line: Considering Regal's features, many of which come only with luxury package in other makes, for the money,it's a bargain.Time tells about the quality,but SO FAR SO GOOD.

2002 Regal GS - A Stealth Muscle Car

Pros: Extreme power, handling, ride, mpg's, comfort, value
Cons: Cramped rear seat, needs performance tires to go with sport suspension
The Bottom Line: If you want gobs of power in a stylish premium sedan with excellent quality, buy one now. This car is so underrated, and a steal at under $30,000.00
