The AVR-4802 is the first 7-channel A/V surround receiver in the world to offer both DTS-ES Discrete 6.1 and THX Post Processing as well as high-quality DTS 96/24 5.1 decoding for DVD-Video in a single unit. In another world's first, the AVR-4802 lets you enjoy 96/24 PCM, and Dolby Digital 2-channel sources in Dolby Pro Logic II mode or DTS NEO:6 mode. Now, you can truly surround yourself with multi-channel sound in the mode you like best. The AVR-4802 owes much of its chassis design to its more technologically advanced, critically acclaimed sibling, the AVR-5800. This high-end approach virtually eliminates the mutual interference from the various circuits to ensure that you experience all the delicate nuances of pure audio sound, as well as the clearest and most dynamic realism that is Denon home theater entertainment.

Fine machine!!!

The Bottom Line: For home theater, one of the best nonseparates out there. For music, great and all I need, but there are better out there.
Review: I was originally going to get the Denon flagship, the Denon AVR 5800. But I figured at over $3000, getting the extra power without the Dolby Pro Logic 2, and Denon not advertizing an upgrade of the 5800, the extra $1500 was not worth it, so I went...
