The 8100i allows you to rewrite CD-RW media at 2-speed, record CD-R media at 4-speed, and still read CD-ROM discs at an impressive 24-speed. This means you can back up your system, record and share data, video, and photos, and still have access to the newest multimedia titles that demand a fast read speed - all from one drive. ??The 8100i comes with a complete software package, including Adaptec's DirectCD, Easy CD Creator, and Easy CD Audio. These Adaptec packages allow you to create your own audio, photo, video, and data CDs and create them as easily as copying files to a floppy disc. You can drag and drop files, rename files, delete files, and create new directories right on your disc. Outstanding software for an OK product

Review: HP, in creating it's SureStore CD Writer Plus 8100i has integrated ease-of use in installation and loads of functionable programs, while at the same time, offering a somewhat reliable performing CD-R as well as CD-RW burner. What more can you ask...
