Product Description

Part E.R. and part C.S.I., HOUSE is a medical mystery television show that's appealing due to its creative camerawork, interesting characters, and twisting plotlines. Dr. Gregory House (Hugh Laurie) is a brilliant medical professional, but often alienates his patients and co-workers because of his abrasive manner and bitterness. In each episode House is faced with a person exhibiting a number of unusual symptoms, and along with his team of dedicated doctors and nurses, must discover what strange illness is afflicting the patient...before it's too late! The show moves at a rapid pace, spurred by its turning and suspenseful plotlines and the lively interaction between the characters, played by a strong supporting cast that includes Robert Sean Leonard, Omar Epps, and Sela Ward. HOUSE: SEASON ONE collects all 22 episodes of the program's first year.

Review: Background:
I started watching American Idol this past year and House aired immediately following it. I had long assumed this show had something to do with a mysterious home. When I saw a preview in which Dave Matthews was a patient of DOCTOR...

Invite House Into Your House

Date of Review:  Feb 8, 2006
The Bottom Line: House is a brilliant show simply on the strength of one outstanding lead character. The show may not be perfect, but Laurie's performance is.
Review: Three cheers for American Idol. First it gave me Clay Aiken, and then it directed me to one of my favorite shows of the past few years: House. Now maybe I would have discovered the show on my own, but I never heard of it until I saw it heavily...

Medical Repetition Theatre, "House, M.D." - The Complete First Season

Date of Review:  Apr 17, 2007
The Bottom Line: While the curmudgeon Dr. House is fun to watch, the formulaic repetitions of the episodes of "House, M.D. - The Complete First Season" make the DVD a tough sell.
Review: When I got my hands on "House, M.D. - The Complete First Season" I was excited. I've caught an episode or two on FOX and enjoyed the program. I sat down, if anything, biased for it. I was so eager that I cleared my viewing schedule and did a "House,...
