Well Worth The Money..Great Radio

SSB works well
Handy display light with three settings
Tilt stand
Battery door fastened to the radio. Won't lose it.
Can hook up external antenna.
Two band widths... well chosen...

The Bottom Line: Unless you are planning to spend a LOT more $, the Kaito 1102 is simply unbeatable. It's a lot of radio, even if you're an experienced ham or SWL
Review: The pros and cons have been accurately reflected in the previous reviews, but one thing that I found interesting is that my first Kaito began to motorboat; in other words, at 1630 AM the radio began to make a burring sound that at first occurred...
