The Network Everywhere Cable/DSL 4-Port Router connects multiple PCs to your cable or DSL modem. And using the Setup Wizard, you can start working quickly - just enter your Internet connection settings and let the Wizard do the work! The Router lets your PCs share one IP address from your ISP, files, printers and other resources. Use the Router as a DHCP server so it automatically assigns internal IP addresses to your PCs. For network security, the Router's built-in Network Address Translation (NAT) feature helps protect your computer from hackers.

The Bottom Line: I would not recommend buying this item unless you need basic router/hub features and don't mind buying a new one every couple of years.
Review: We purchased this router/hub combo less than 3 years ago. We have cable internet and 2 PCs that shared the same connection, so we felt it had the features we needed, at an affordable price.

Great Hub at a Great Price

This Linksys Fast Ethernet 10/100 5-port Network Hub (model NH1005, V2) is all you need at under 40 for a 5-port hardwire network hub. Need more? There's also and 8-port version available (which costs more of course), and/or you can daisy chain many of these together. Works seamlessly with any combination of 10 and 100 mbps devices, as well as any combination of Macintosh machines, Windows PCs, and video game consoles.
