The underdog in the handheld GPS world has even me amazed!

The Bottom Line: Excellent value
Review: I consider myself a tough person to impress when it comes to the overall quality of something. Almost everything I've used has always had something that has irritated me in some way. It's perfect except.... that onnnne little thing.

Lowrance iFinder plus

The Bottom Line: Buy the Plus edition...you get the software and equipment for half what you would pay seperately.
Review: I've had my iFinder for over a year now, and I am always impressed at it's performance. The main selling point (to me) when I bought it was the MMC/SD card. Where other GPS units were limited to 16 or 32 mb, I could (and have) upgraded to a 128mb...

Not perfect but still a good choice

The Bottom Line: I think overall there is a lot there in a compact package for the money. Some of the details could be improved.
Review: Overall, I am happy with this unit. My previous unit was a Magellan Map 330 (which never crashed) but this new H2O has far more map detial, is much faster (zooming etc.) and is perhaps a bit more sensitive. I have not tried the Garmin so I can not...
