That information from the microphone is analyzed and a precise active noise cancellation wave is generated. When this "anti-noise" wave meets the unwanted noise, the noise is reduced so your music comes through loud and clear. With a full 22 Db of noise reduction, the HP/NC-IV offers more than 50 hours of battery life from AA cells housed in the right ear cup in addition to full-size, fold-flat leather-lined ear cups.

Review: If you need sturdy head phone for travel and even around the house lounging and listening. These are not the headphones for you. They virtually broke apart on my head while sittingat my desk. They broke at the first joint where the head bowconnects.
