Mrs. Warren's Profession: You're a What, Mom!?

The Bottom Line: A quick read and excellent play criticizing social norms of 100 years ago, yet it still works perfectly today.
Review: Bernard Shaw's Mrs. Warren's Profession was first met with intensive social mistrust, being barred from performance in Britain until he'd won the Nobel Prize years later, and having production arrested in New York.

The Bottom Line: A valid work of the theatre with a social conscience, continuing to speak to the reader, which in spite of its age, has not become outdated. Honest and uncompromising
Review: George B. Shaw was a fiercely political playwright, taking advantage of every opportunity his craft allowed him. One will notice upon reading this play that the dialogue is very much little monologues, which Shaw uses to explore the various aspects...
