The Bottom Line: The Nintendo DSi nice bit of kit if you need a lightweight, portable diversion. Bigger and better than the ordinary DS but only buy if you have spare cash.

The Bottom Line: Besides larger screens and a music player, the DSi's improvements are lackluster. Only time will tell if an internet browser and VGA cameras are enough to attract gamers.

Basically they took the DS shaped it a little different, and then put in some fun toys. You can play around with voice recordings and pictures but I emphasize play, it is really fun to play around with these features but there is really NO practical purpose for the camera, voice recorder etc. However, it is really really fun. If you already have a DS, its probably not worth your time or money to upgrade, but for those of you buying a DS for the first time, definately pop for the extra toys and gadgets, you'll be glad you did Pros: The case has texture Cons: Make the camera MUCH better, worth our time ya know.

Even though the cameras and voice augmentation software feel gimmicky, the addition of the DSi shop seems to have a lot of potential. That being I can understand why someone with a bunch of GBA may not want to upgrade from the DS lite. Nintendo DSi's features and comparison to DSlite

I love my DSi. At first, I didn't think that its cost would justify an upgrade from the DSlite. Little did I know how much Nintendo had in store for me with this little bundle of joy. Some of the main differences between the DSi and the DSlite is that there are now 2 built in cameras, it can access the web with wifi, it can play music (in m4a format), and new DS games will come out with extra features for the DSi. I'd say my money is well spent. Pros: Nintendo has pricelessly games, Internet & Music player, Two built in cameras Cons: Pricey, Some games cant be played anymore (guitar hero, gba), Doesn't play Mp3's (only m4a)
