The LCD digital display features a battery life indicator. This radio turns off automatically after 90 minutes and has a lock switch. The DBB - Deep Bass Boost circuit provides a rich and full response. This radio does not have a speaker, but comes with a set of stereo ear buds.

Mediocre FM Reception in an Otherwise "Perfect" Radio

The Bottom Line: It could have been the greatest portable radio ever if Sangean had put more effort into the FM section,instead it's a very nice portable with just average FM reception.

The Bottom Line: This radio performs better that the other pocket radios I have found in the stores lately.
Review: The Sangean is replacing the aging Panasonic stereo
radio cassette player RQ-V196 that my wife used for
many years. I have tried a number of times to find
a smaller and lighter radio for her, but none would
match the Panasonic...
