Product Description

 
It is 1807 and Sharpe, back from India and Trafalgar, has joined the newly formed Greenjackets, but his career is in ruins, and his future in the army apparently hopeless.

He is rescued from disgrace by General Sir David Baird, an old comrade from India, who needs a "disposable" man for a mission in Copenhagen. An army is travelling to the Danish capital to enforce British policy, but unless Sharpe can complete the mission against enemies as subtle and clever as any he has ever faced, that army will meet disaster.

The year is 1807 and Richard Sharpe s career in the British army seems to have come to a deadend. Loveless and destitute, relegated to the menial task of Quartermaster, Sharpe prepares to leave the army. Then, against his better judgment, he is persuaded to embark on a secret mission to Copenhagen to deliver a bribe. Once he arrives in Denmark however, he finds that his errand has become much more serious.Here, like everywhere else in Europe, the French loom large at the horizon and they have their eye on taking over the Danish fleet.
