The Bottom Line: Why spending the money on any device that will die 3-1/2 months in and be forced to by new one?

I am reviewing the Sony mdrex75 in-ear headphones.
4/5 stars
I believe that these headphones are around the best that you can buy for 30. I purchased these on sale on the internet; they retail at brick and mortar stores for around 50. At the fifty dollar price point, I still think these are a great value. My pair before these, the JVC marshmallows pales in comparison to these. The clarity and balanced sound reproduction is simply outstanding in the Sony pair. The bass is not overpowered in these and the mid range reproduction is stellar. I use these primarily for classical and jazz music and these are great. While nothing compares to a full fledged sound system or a bulky over the head headphone, these certainly come close. Pros: clarity, price, comfort Cons: wish the case was fabric instead of plastic, wish the replacement silicone sony eartips weren't so expensive
