FBI Agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) continue to investigate unexplained events while battling their own demons. Fans of the show will also be in heaven with the number of in-jokes that occur throughout this season. Among the classic episodes is "Hollywood A.D." Directed and written by Duchovny, the episode surrounds a TV-movie with celebrities Garry Shandling and Tea Leoni (Duchovny's real-life mate) playing the agents.

The seventh season of the X-Files television series was meant to be the last season. Both lead actors had expressed the desire to go off and work on other projects, and David Duchovny's contract was over at the end of the season...

"The X-Files" Sinks Impossibly Fast With "The Complete Seventh Season."

The Bottom Line: Largely dull, the first post-conspiracy season of "The X-Files" nails the coffin closed by bringing Mulder (but not the viewer) closure in "The Complete Seventh Season!"
