Disappointing performance from a DVD-R camera

The Bottom Line: I could never buy this brand of camera again...but are disk problems inherent in DVD camcorders -- bears further investigation.
Review: I have generally been impressed with the reliability of Samsung products over the years, especially their computer monitors not to mention cellphones, however the Samsung line of DVD-R cameras has proven to be a disappointment.

The Bottom Line: Do not buy this product!
Review: I don't think I have ever been more disappointed in a product in my entire life.

The Samsung SC-DC64 camera was originally purchased in October 2006, a month before my first son was born. This was a present from "Grandma to be" that lives...

Nice picture quality if you are saving to DVD, but if saving to Memory card, the video and picture quality are terrible See some examples included. If you have a digital camera with a good video feature, I suggest sticking with it
