Buy This Book Or Else...

This Epinion as well my others are on hiatus.

In the event Epinions gets up and running smoothly, it may return. It is hard to dedicate a meaningful chunk of your life only to find that your efforts disappear into some ether-space. I don't think you would accept this if you bought a new car, or subscribed to a new cable service, or invested in a company that couldn't find its legs; you would make a decision. You would clear out.

In the time I have been submitting to Epinions (two months) I have experienced one technical difficulty after another. You cannot meaningfully participate on this site with any degree of assurance that your efforts will prove fruitful. For the past week, Epinions has not operated efficiently. It does not show your Epinions, it does not properly show your profile page, it, in one fashion of another, fails to operate as promised. It promised to perform in a certain way, and asked that we abide by their Terms of Service in exchange. Well, it doesn't perform, therefore, TOS is null and void. Bargains require that both sides perform as expected. When they don't, bargains fall apart.

They did.
