Author's Review
I purchased my Acura RDX in July of '08 and I must say, I could'nt be happier with it. I originally bought my RDX for my family to take trips in. Now the RDX is my daily driver mainly because of the power it has (240 hp turbo charged), especially on take off. The fuel economy on the highway is phenominal. The EPA-rated mileage is 17/22 mpg City/Highway, and we got 17.6 miles per gallon (on premium fuel) at an average of 34 mph running on the freeway. The kids love the Bluetooth hands-free phone interface, including the XM satellite radio features alot and I especially like paralell parking with my rearview camera, because it makes parking at night so much easier. Also standard are a two-way position driver's seat memory and an auto-dimming day/night rearview mirror, and new exterior color, Polished Metal Metallic, is available on the 08 model. Your RDX will have access to the navigation system's 1.7 million city and street names along with access to AcuraLink Satellite Communication System with Real Time Traffic that comes in handy when traveling to new locations. I'm no stranger to Acura's though, my first was 1991 Acura Integra 5-speed so I had high expectations for the RDX.Safety features included on the RDX are as follows: dual-stage frontal airbags, side airbags in front, side curtain airbags with rollover sensor, electronic stability control (VSA), active front head restraints to help protect you against whiplash, side-impact door beams (also a plus), and a tire pressure monitor. It also comes standard with other luxury touches, such as a power moonroof, leather seating, and dual-zone climate control. When I drive the RDX its like I am driving a car in the aspect of how it corners. Most SUV's tend not to have such a firm suspension like the one in the RDX. Overall I would encourage you to test drive the RDX and see what I'm talking about, trust me its worth it.
