Product Review

Good, if only it would keep running.

Pros:  Great features, clean look, easy to clean.

Cons:  Thermostat shuts down, essentially killing the oven.

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

We were taken by the features, price, and aesthetics of this double wall oven. We have now had a Fisher Paykel for over 2 years, and this is now the third oven! Similar to the other posts, the oven worked fine for six months, until we ran the self cleaning program. After three repair calls, the thermostat was replaced. We replaced it two more times, before we asked for the oven to be replaced. We were told by our service rep about the high altitude thermostat problem, and hoped that a new oven would have the fix. We were wrong. The second oven eventually failed as well (the lights go on, but no heat is generated). Our dealer talked us into replacing it one last time, almost a year ago, and we have been happy...until today. After cooking the Thanksgiving pies and turkeys, the lower oven is dead again. The top oven works, but not its temperature probe. Sad to say, this truly is a wonderful oven, when it works.
