stay away!

I've had this fridge for almost a year and a half and have had nothing but problems from day one. Within the first week of owning it the compressor stopped working and I lost all the contents of the fridge until the service tech could come out to replace it three days later. Then from that point on around every 2 months the little motor at the top that opens the flap to let in cold air from the freezer to the fridge kept dying making horrible noise as it does. Its already been replaced four times and it still sounds pretty bad. The fridge itself freezes almost any fruits or veggies that you place in any shelf or bin except the top one! So don't expect to storing lettuce, carrots, coleslaw etc... in this fridge unless you enjoy them as popsicles! Setting the internal temperature higher has not helped because if it is too high that the stuff wont freeze then the milk and other drinks in the door starts to feel not as cold as it should be. In terms of energy efficiency this unit is constantly running and I know that because its noisy as hell and you can easily hear it when its running. Because I have an extended warranty I have been fighting for months with the place that I purchased it at to get rid of this piece if junk so I'd advise anyone considering it to stay away. Note that Whirpool, Amana, Maytag are all the same so stay away from them all.
