Bass in your...well...face!

Cord is too long, not made for other uses than DJ-ing
The Bottom Line:
These headphones are made for DJ's spinning hip-hop and/or dance music. In that respect, they are EXCELLENT. However, they are not at all made for the average consumer.

My wife got these as part of the Stanton Titanium DJ Package the other day, and they pretty much rock. I compared them side-by-side to the (now broken) Sony MDR-V150's, and the difference was amazing. As a test I used Apple iTunes with a flat EQ and listened to some hard house. The bass response out of the Stanton's, thanks to it's 3hz bottom, was ridiculous. These headphones will literally "bump"!
Keep in mind, however, that these headphones are made for DJ's. While the insane bass is perfect for dance music, it quickly becomes very unfavorable for most types of acoustic music. These headphones fill a specific niche, though they do it very well, so buy carefully. I'll probably only ever use these with the turntables/mixer setup, and keep my (did I mention NOW BROKEN?) Sony MDR-V150's for general use.
Another note, I would NOT recommend these for use with portable equipment. Number one, the cord is WAY too long to be logistical when walking around or especially running. It's fine at home or in studio, but one could easily trip on it outside. Number two, when you have these on, even without any music coming through them, you cannot hear yourself talk. This could be very dangeous in urban environments.
Lastly, these came as part of a package so I didn't really know what to put for amount paid.
