MacBook the best computer I have ever owned

by   panthermojo28 ,   Mar 20, 2007

Pros:  The ease of use and durability.

Cons:  Lack of available hardware and software.

The Bottom Line:  Buy it because this computer will last you years and never lose its original functionality.

Overall Rating: 5/5 stars

Author's Review

With its flashy looks and technologically advanced pre-installed software, the MacBook is the toast of the computer world. For years Macintosh has had to play second fiddle to the IBM compatibles of the world, but with the advent of Intel-based computers and industry leading iPods, Apple is on the rise.

The software package that comes with the MacBook includes iTunes, iPhoto, iChat, Address Book, Dashboard, Safari, Garage Band and a ton more useful software products. While coming up short in the gaming category, it makes up for that in the visual eye candy department.

The best thing about owning the MacBook: having a fast, reliable, virus-free, user-friendly personal laptop. The worst thing about owning the MacBook: the lack of available software. Walk into any Best Buy, Target, Wal-mart, pretty much anywhere else and you will not be able to find software. MacMall.com and Amazon.com each have plenty of titles to suit your needs, though.

My iPod Nano works seamlessly and perfectly with my MacBook laptop. The iTunes software that I use on my Mac works a lot better than its PC counterpart. iPhoto is the best digital camera upload software I have ever used. In my high school newspaper program we used iPhoto for its easy-to-use platform for the technologically challenged in the program.

I would recommend the MacBook (and really, any other Mac OS X platform computer) to anybody. I have owned eMachines, IBM, Compaq, Gateway, Dell and HP computers, but I will never own another computer brand as long as I live (or as long as Apple is in business) because of the wonderful experience I have had with my MacBook. My computer is almost a year old now and it still works pretty much as well as the day I bought it - and it has over half of its memory used!
