Author's Review
I have a full size washer and dryer in the basement of my single level ranch style house but due to medical reasons, dealing with the stairs to the basement to do laundry has become quite a hassle.
So, I decided that I would put a washer/dryer in the living area of the house.
My dilemma was that I did not have an area that I could put a Vented washer/dryer without significant remodeling expense.
I read a lot about these Ventless,110 Volt Washer Dryer Combos and thought I would give it a try. The specs and the warranty on the ASKO WCAM1812 were quite impressive so I bought that model.
I must say that I am very pleased with it. It fit nicely in one of the the walk in closets and the plumbing/electric hookup was done by me as it is simple.
The noisiest part of the entire washing/drying cycle is when it is drying but the noise is not enough to disturb the family at night.
Having a regular washer and dryer does let me compare this unit.
The front loading action actually makes the clothes come out cleaner but they are a bit more wrinkled than when done with my regular dryer.
However, I have to use an iron on some of the clothes when I use the regular dryer anyway so I don't find this to be a problem.
All reviews on combo washer/dryers talk about wrinkled clothes but I do not find that to be a major problem.
Leave dry clothes in a regular dryer for a few hours and you get the same thing.
Work&Dress shirts and pants need to be ironed no matter what you use so they have always been done at a dry cleaner.
This is a great solution to a standard washer/dryer.
Interesting that their literature does not list this as Enery Star rated. See:

Make sure that you have 2 people to help you set this up. This machine is a beast! It weighs almost 200 pounds
