Quality of Bostons, only 1/2 the price
Pros:
Excellent sound, heavy construction, awesome speakers
Cons:
Hard to find now!
The Bottom Line:
Compare them to Bostons, Kipilsh, Energy and Infinity. I guarantee, you will walk away with Athena.

Author's Review
I purchased my Athena speakers at Best Buy about 8 months ago. I was looking for some new home theater speakers after I blew my Infinity's. I have always been a fan of Boston Acoustics speakers, which I was originally going to purchase. After shopping around from many stores, I walked into best buy to look at their refrigerators. As I was walking buy the electronics I heard the Athena's rock'n away. I could not believe what I heard. They were crystal clear. I saw the price and I was even more amazed. Then I thought that the quality was going to be cheap. I tapped on the wood, picked up the speakers and was amazed by the construction. They were solid wood, not particle board and they were heavy. I humored it and purchased them. For the price of the Bostons tower speakers I was going to buy, I purchased the Athena F-1 front speakers, the center channel speaker and the Athena B-1 for the rear fill. I swear these are the best sounding speakers I have heard.
Those of you out there, who like acoustic music, or those who like "GODSMACK" the other side, you have not, heard that kind of music so clear until you hear them on these. Of course, the Athena does play any music extremely clear, its just in acoustics, its sicking. You can actually hear the stroke of the guitar strings. Don't waste your money on anything else. Buy the Athena's.
One last thing, the Athena sub woofers are very nice as well, however, for deeper more powerful bass would recommend Yamaha or Kipilsh subs.
UPDATE: It's been 2 1/2 years. I have driven these speakers hard and they still sound awesome! I have zero complaints about them!
