Loud Loud Loud...

When I was first looking for cars my main goal was something that looked good and the Audi A4 more than fit the bill. It's sporty, has a nice interior, and drives fairly well.

The thing I cannot stand about the car is the noise. Noise noise noise. Its noticeably loud when you drive on the highway, the seats rattle, the seat belt receiver even squeaks.

The thing that kills me though is the engine noise. When I am at idle I can very noticeable hear the slightly high pitched noise of the engine. It's horrible. I've only had the car for 3 months, but am missing my old 92 Subaru if you can believe it.

I had to take it in once already for come cylinder issues and they loaned me a 2.0. IT was so much quieter I wanted to scream. The pickup between the 1.8 and the two is extremely noticeable as well. I'm not sure what to do at this point. I've already taken it to the dealership and they said that is just how the engine sounds. I'm going to sell it and can't wait to eat the taxes and depreciation. Joy. Japanese cars only from here on out.
