Product Review

won't play dvd's now

by   dmcloughlin ,   Feb 6, 2006

Pros:  good price, worked great while it was working.

Cons:  no service in Canada, you pay flat fee(cost price) and they give you another unit.

Overall Rating: 3/5 stars

Author's Review

had this unit for just two years then all of a sudden it won't load the dvd's. CD's play fine. Call up and found out that service is in New York only, not Canada. Tech. support at Audiovox told me its the laser not lined up correctly now and as Dvd's have more info than Cd's it can't read. This can't be fixed so what Audiovox want you to do is mail the unit to them along with flat rate fee of $94us so they can exchange the unit. This $94 is what the unit probably costs so you are just buying another one from them direct. So now I'll just use it for CD playing or sell it at a garage sale and go buy another model that has service in Canada.
