loved this pump, better than my Ameda electrical.
Pros:
great milk output in short time, inexpensive, few parts
Cons:
manual so hand could get tired
The Bottom Line:
Loved this pump. It gave great milk output for me and didn't require staying in one spot. Highly recommend!

Author's Review
When I had my first daughter and I had no idea how difficult breastfeeding could be. The first few days were so hard I though that she would never stop crying and that I would always be attached to her. So I thought I would try a breastpump so that others could feed her as well. I bought an electrical pump after reading revies. I got an Ameda and thought okay this might be able to work. So I used it for a couple of weeks, but then I was going on a trip and I though that I didn't want to have to lug around a bulky electrical pump with all the parts. I had enough to pack with all the extra baby stuff I needed. So on a whim I bought the Avent maunal breast pump. Boy was I glad I did.
After reading the instructions, which I thought were very easy to understand, I put the pump together and started pumping. When putting the pump together you do need to make sure to put the star piece in the right way, but other than that I found it very easy to put together.
I also found the pump more comfortable than my electric. It didn't pull and pinch the way the electrical did. I was able to pump about three ounces in about five to ten minutes, where it seemed to twenty minutes or so to get the same amount with the electrical I used this for about four months and then unfortuneately had to return to work and I stopped breastfeeding.
Three years later, along came my second daughter and I was determined to breastfeed much longer and thought I would give the electrical pump another try. However, I also bought another Avent Isis as backup and for travel. Again, I got much better output than the electrical one. I could usually get between four and six ounces at one pumping sessions and it only took around ten minutes or so. I thought my hand would get sore and feel uncomfortable, but once I got used to and strengthened my pumping muscles I had no soreness. I used this pump through our breastfeeding relationship, almost nine months and I used it daily if not two or three times. I never had a problem with this pump. It is very durable even though it is meant for occasional use. I was very glad with this pump, and if I ever have another baby I would gladly get this again.
