Bare Minerals Get Started Kit

I have been using this product for 4 years now after the recommendation of a friend who purchased it from QVC. I use light/medium version because I have fair skin.

I really love the Bare Minerals product. Specifically I apply the mineral foundation all over with the kabuki brush that comes with the kit. I then apply the warmth powder with the contoured cheek brush to give myself some natural color. You could replace this step with another type of blush or bronzer if you choose. I purchased a rosier version of warmth outside of the starter kit and I prefer to use it.

For minor problem areas I use the small brush and a dab of the foundation for coverage. If I have a bad break out I use a cream concealer as the foundation isn't the best spot coverage. I also use a cream concealer under my eyes when needed for this same reason.

This product is really good for evening out skin tone and for a natural looking make-up job. It feels so much cleaner than liquid/cream based foundations and doesn't get cakey at all. You also don't have to worry about a makeup like under along your chin or neck.

It usually takes me 4+ months to use one regular sized mineral foundation and I apply liberally.

It also comes with the mineral veil powder which is supposed to be the final step, but I rarely use it. I can't really tell the difference with or without so for me it's just another step.

I do recommend washing your brushes every month or so or purchasing a new kabuki brush periodically. They can get oily and you will use more powder than needed.
