Cool! Barney's House!

There are only a handful of Barney videos out made for dvd. This is one of three we own. My 4 year old daughter was excited to finally see where Barney lives. My 19 month old son was just excited because it has Barney in it. The production values are very good for a kids video.

At first the video is a little disconcerting because Barney and his visitors talk to the camera as if it were the visitor. Once you get used to it, it is a cute video. Two of the kids from the Barney tv show and videos come to Barney's house looking for BJ because they are in a rock and roll band with him and are supposed to meet him there for practice. The video also introduces two new kids that come to Barney's house to return some books they borrowed from Barney. Baby Bop also drops by and has a sneezing fit which sends kleenex all over the room (this is my 4 year old's favorite scene) Barney also has some fairy tale visitors that come to his backdoor. All you see of them though is their arms as they talk to Barney and BJ. There are lots of new songs introduced and some old favorites are sung too. Barney's house is bright and colorful and has some cool rooms and a magic elevator.

One of the best things about this dvd is that you get a bonus video that is almost as long as the main video. It contains songs from other videos that Barney, BJ and Baby Bop listen to and see on a magic jukebox machine. My kids like this video as much as the main one.
