Beautiful indeed.

One of the many masterpieces signed Luis Bunuel. This time however, the movie isn't as surreal as his others, but it has that odd feeling to it. Of course, no man wants to admit that a happily married woman would want to prostitute herself, but the way Deneuve plays it, you almost feel sorry for her, and that's the secret of her charm and talent.
The dream sequences have that oddness too and make you remember you're watching a Bunuel movie! The film is pretty twisted, more so than Kessel's book, since you have to see and vague references won't do. Only Bunuel could have adapted this book to perfection and he did so, making the film actually better than the book, which is a good book!
If you haven't seen it, don't hesitate. If not for Bunuel, at least for Deneuve's magnetic charm.
