will never do business with diamond again
Pros:
Nice looking hardware, complete package including tuner hardware, remote, and software.
Cons:
Tuner is not supported by other PVR software, if Arcsoft Totalmedia doesn't work, you're screwed

Author's Review
A number of years ago, I bought one of the first MP3 players I saw come to market, the PMP300 by Diamond Multimedia. At that point, I had no experience with the company, but quickly came to regret my purchase. Their product was OK, and if you had any problems, they let you figure them out on your own. Cut to summer 2006 - I decide I want to add PVR capability to my computer and begin researching options. Despite my previous experience, I go by reviews that I have read and purchase the PVR660. The hardware is pretty good. The issue is the same as before though, the software sucks horribly, and neither Diamond, nor the software maker (Arcsoft) offers any support at all. Furthermore, this software is the only version that is ineligible for updates from its publisher. (earlier and later versions are, however) I gave Diamond a second chance based on reading good reviews of their product, but there really hasnt been much improvement since my first purchase years ago. Their customer service sucks and the weak link to their products seems to be shoddy 3rd party software.
