Author's Review
So often with vacs and carpet cleaners, marketing terms and advertising make it impossible to tell a good model. Let me say that this is the best Carpet Cleaner I have ever used. It does a fantastic job with stains and generally dirty carpet. I like the ergonomics of the 2 in 1 tank, and the option to mix soap or not. For normal cleaning a light pass will do, but I torture tested this model in the living room of an apartment that had been partied in too much. Many drinks, salsa, pet, and unidentifiable stains were present and the carpet was very dull and dirty looking in general. Certainly it should have been pulled up and thrown away. I wish I had a before and after pic. I'm not talking about any light "normal" use here. I did move the device much slower than normal, letting more water hit the carpet, but it did a fantastic job of cleaning (and picked up all the extra water from my over saturating) After that, nothing in a normal home could stand a chance.
I have used this cleaner on dozens, if not a hundred occasions. Carpets, furniture, a mattress, and several cars. It has not failed me once mechanically or in my expectations. At about 200 Bucks on sale you can't go wrong. I'm a deal hound, but after knowing how good this is, I would advise people to get it, even at full retail price. You won't do better.
Cons: I would have to say that a water and soap tank of even twice the size would be welcome (fewer trips to the sink). However, I can't count this as a con as it doesn't really affect the usefulness of the machine and I may well be using this beyond what is considered normal, non-commercial use as well.
