Full Steam Ahead!!!

This handy Black and Decker Cooker is both a steamer and a cooker. I received it as a gift and thought I would not use it much but it prepares the food just perfectly. I practically use it every day now. There are actually two steaming baskets so you can steam two different things at the same time. They sit comfortably within each other. Or, you can use just one basket. There is also a mesh insert which holds herbs for added flavor. Very healthy and tasty!!! You don't even need to put butter. The rice cooker makes rice perfect every time. It stays warm right up to serving if you leave it sit above the steaming water until ready. Clean up is very easy as well. Just use soap and water. Has a timer and comes with instruction book which gives you the directions for steaming time for each individual vegetable. Most veggies take 15 to 20 minutes. After steaming fresh veggies I keep the water that drains off into the well and use that for soup. That water contains a lot of vitamins and minerals as well. This is an excellent gift for the person watching calories or anyone who wants to eat healthier. Great.
