Pros: One of Victor Hugo s best works of literature.
Cons: There was a cartoon movie made from it.
The Bottom Line: With this Romantic novel, Hugo breaks many illusions about the Middle Ages in his work about a hunchback and his cathedral. Screw the animated movie.

Review: The Workings of Fate are at hand here. The word FATE made an impact on Victor Hugo when he visited Notre Dame Cathedral and found an imprint of the word on the wall. He wrote the novel as an attempt to save the cathedral from being demolished. There...

Pros: A gripping, captivating, well-written and emotional book
Cons: NOT a children's book, very violent, sexually explicit and graphic at times.
This reviewer recommends this product.
Review: Assuredly the person who categorized this book in the Children's section has never read it. I wouldn't let anyone under 14 touch this with a 10 foot pole. While Hunchback is one of my favored books, it is not for the innocent or faint hearted.

Review: Wow, I just read this book 1 month ago and I have to say it's an amazing book. It may be 700 pages long but when you are near the end, you try not to read to much because you don't want to finish it. You get attached to the caracters and you feel...

Review: As a youth many of my friends were required to read this book in English classes. For some reason I always got around it. After recently reading this book I am sorry it took me so long to pick it up. I chose to read the unabridged version.

Review: This is perhaps the darkest tale I have ever read. It begins in mirth and ends in death. It explores the depths of the human conscious and reveals that perhaps you are not the good person that you believe yourself to be. One who believes himself to...
