A Great Book

This is a terrific book for kids to read. It is an involved mystery that not only provides an entertaining story, but also encourages readers to try to figure out the solution.
The story is about a group of people who all live in the same apartment building. They are supposed to figure out who killed Sam Westing, a multi-millionaire. Whoever solves the mystery first wins Westing's fortune. The characters that the story revolves around are varied and interesting. I remember that Turtle was my favorite character back when I read the book - probably be because she was the girl closest to my age, but there are girls and boys in this book, and characters of all ages.
The ending was a surprise, and very complimentary to the book. One of the things I really like about this book, is that the ending makes you think back on what happened throughout the story. You also realize that all of the main participants had enough clues to solve the mystery, even though only one does.
Get this great book to share with the young reader and/or detective in your life the next time you are at the library or book store.
