Quite Possibly The Worst Product Ever Built

The Bottom Line:  Read my 'Verdict'

Overall Rating: 1/5 stars

Author's Review

I think that I have made it clear that Bose is by far the worst brand ever. As you know, I have already tested out the Bose VCS 10 center. Well, the Bose VCS 30 consists of the VCS 10 and two Model 100 speakers. I think this is supposed to be an "inexpensive" front stage. Well, it's one of the all time crappiest ones that I've ever heard. Obviously, there are some idiots who think that Bose makes the best speakers in the world, and that their quality is unsurpassed. Oh well, that means that brands like Magnepan, M&K, Canton, and JMLab make inferior speakers. Oh well... At least many people understand that Bose is a terrible brand. Anyway, I decided to compare the Bose VCS 30 against one of Bose's biggest rivals from left field. The JBL Northridge series. JBL's Northridge series speakers are budget yet incredible speakers. Here's what I found with the Bose VCS 30:

Price:
Again, Bose is here to rip you off! Well, there was one day when I discovewred the magical prices of the internet. I was able to find the improved (Over the N-center) JBL S-center. It's part of the Studio Series. It's a vast improvement over the N-center, but even the Northridge series itself is a vast improvement over anything that Bose has to offer. At Let's Go Digital, I was able to buy the S-center for $150, the price that you would find the N-Center at. The Bose VCS 10 alone is $200. The S-center kills it in every aspect. the vocals are not tinny like they are on the Bose, the sound is more realistic, and the S-center loses less vocals during action scenes, while the Bose VCS 10 looses just about all vocals during action scenes. The JBL centers are already superior to the Bose. The center is the most important center channel in the home theater set up, and don't make the mistake of using Bose. Now, how do the satellites fare? Well, I decided to pair the JBL S-center with a pair of JBL S26 Studio series satellites which costed only $177. How much better were they then the Model 100s? Well, they provided enormous clear realistic sound from a small space. The model 100s provided much smaller unrealistic sound. Well, how much was the VCS 30? $400. How much was the JBL set-up that I described? $327, still with $73 to spend! Plus no sales tax! The Bose VCS 30 is in no way worth it. Sickening product, it's just sick what Bose does!

Styling:
Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap Cheap... That's the only way to describe the way the Bose VCS 30 is styled. the satellites are made out of very cheap plastic, and the VCS 10 looks very cheap all together. If you want some cheap looking junk that sounds cheap too, buy this! Yet, you won't be paying a cheap price!

Durability:
Bose products are known to last for a very long time. So, I'll just take it from the people. But then again, the speakers in the Bose VCS 30 package suffer high distortion at loud levels. The JBLs didn't. Distortion can damage those speakers, and distortion can especially damage those cheap paper cone drivers in the speakers! If you like loud music, I don't think the Bose VCS 30 will last. The JBLs on the other hand will.

Sound:
The sound was again...terrible. What do you expect from Bose these days? Let me first talk about the Bose VCS 10 center channel. Did it compare at all to the much cheaper JBL S-center? ($150 at Let's Go Digital) No. The Bose VCS 10 uses four 4.5" paper midrange drivers. The sound is very flat and tinny. The JBL S-center however was able to provide very clean and natural sound, did I mention powerful sound too? The Bose VCS 10 demonstrates small sound from small places. Simply a terrible center channel. Even the KLH center that you'd find for $40 or $50 is superior. The Model 100s? How did they fare? Utterly terrible speakers. If Bose made them so incredibly inexpensive, that means that something must really be wrong with these speakers. They provide minimal power. The sound is unrealistic and very tinny. Yuck! The JBL S26 speakers were able to give major sound from a small space. They also sounded very lively, clear, realistic, and powerful. Overall, the sound is something that will truly make anyone sick. Out of moral disgust for Bose, and so sick that they will vomit. The sound of the Bose VCS 30 made me want to vomit.

Bass:
No bass reproduction here. If you're crazy enough to buy the Bose VCS 30 or any other Bose speakers. Buy a powered subwoofer, and big one too! These things have absolutely no bass reproduction. The bass is pretty much non-existent.

The Verdict:
The Bose VCS 30 is quite possibly one of the products ever built by man. I would much rather have KLH speakers than Bose! The Bose VCS 30 clearly demonstrates how truly sick and twisted the employees at Bose are. All they want to do is cheat you with their cheap quality speakers that sell for a boatload! Also, the Bose VCS 10 was unable to handle vocals during action scenes. The JBL S-center was. Being able to handle vocals during such scenes is important to me because I watch so many action movies. My Paradigm CC-370 has never failed me. If I owned the Bose VCS 30, I would burst into tears. SHAME ON YOU BOSE! They put some of the worst products onto the market of all time! They think that the Bose VCS 30 is budget? You can buy superior speakers for that price! Even the JBL Northridge series which is worse than the Studio series kills Bose. Even KLH is better than Bose! Bose is crazy, sick, twisted, idiotic, and all the negative profane words and adjectives that the mind can think of.
