Three cutters better than one

I needed to replace my nine-year-old Braun electric razor. I was looking for a rechargeable/corded foil model with side trimmer for less than $125. After researching razors on the Web with an open mind, I ultimately settled on another Braun. The 6525 seemed to have the best set of features at a price much lower than what I had expected to pay.
This model incorporates a "triple stage" cutting system, and I really didn't understand this design until I received the razor. There are two rounded foil heads on the outside, and a nifty double-sided trimmer nestled between them. Here's how it works: longer hairs won't get cut because they are pushed over by the first foil head. The trimmer between the heads cuts down longer hairs so they are short enough to be cut by the second head as it passes over. A very effective design! I can shave with fewer strokes than my previous single-head razor. And if you don't shave every day, this razor will give you a clean face with minimal effort.
The 6525 has a pivoting head, which I didn't think I would like. But pivoting makes the head design work better, and I've gotten used to it. There is a fixed position that angles the head so you can use just one of the outer foils for areas like the upper lip.
I also like the 1 hour charge time (due to different battery technology than my previous Braun, which required 24 hours for a full charge). One charge lasts about nine shaves. An LCD indicator tells you when the battery is getting low.
Overall design is very nice, very solid -- Braun does a great job.
