The Bottom Line: Great 2 lb bread machine. Not without a few quirks but produces an excellent loaf of bread.

I received the Breadman TR875 Bread Maker as a holiday gift last month. I requested it after doing much research on bread makers. This is replacing another model that simply gave out after years of wonderful fresh bread.

SPECIFICS
~ This Breadman TR875 Bread Maker comes in an attractive black color. Very sleek looking, very sturdy with a non-skid base.
~ There is a viewing window to keep an eye on your bread during the cycles without needing to open the lid to check on things.
~ The control panel has everything listed to program your specific bread type. Such as how to program each type of bread. Enter the number corresponding to your bread type. 1. Basic, 2. French, 3. Whole Wheat, 4. Sweet, 5. Super Rapid, 6. Dough, 7. Pasta, 8. GlutenFree, 9. Jam, 10. Bake.
~ All programming is digital and you can set it for 1.5 or 2.0 lb loafs.
~ You can program the color of the bread for Light, Medium or Dark.
~ You can pre-program your Breadman TR875 Bread Maker so that it bakes on BASIC, FRENCH, WHOLE WHEAT or SWEET cycles while you are at work or so that fresh bread is ready for you in the morning or the next day for up to 15 hours early.

MY EXPERIENCE with the Breadman TR875 Bread Maker
It took me 2 tries before I got the perfect recipe. For some reason I had to get used to adding ingredients differently than my old bread machine. I have it down pat & I simply love this machine. It doesn't go without some improvements that could be made (I will list below, separately).
After opening the box & cleaning the unit I began baking bread immediately. I found it a little hard to remove & replace the bread pan itself. Took a little effort to take it out & was afraid to push that hard to put the bread pan back inside the unit.
The very first time it started baking, a little bit of "smoke" came out of the unit. This quickly stopped and has never happened since. I found the unit to run a bit loud so I doubt I'll be baking bread too early in the morning or too late at night.
After the 2nd loaf I had made the perfect CINNAMON RAISIN BREAD that the kids love when I slice it generously and toast for them. We had no complaints & no bread left over for the next day!
WHAT I WOULD CHANGE WITH THIS Breadman TR875 Bread Maker
Unfortunately, there are some things that could be greatly improved with this bread maker. Here are the following problems I had:
1. Bread machine runs very loud. Much louder than the unit I replaced.
2. When putting the Kneading Paddle on it does not place on flush to the Drive Shaft. There is a big gap on top of the Kneading Paddle which ingredients get stuck in. If it happens to be yeast that gets stuck I'm sure that will alter the bread tremendously.
3. Also with this big gap in the Kneading Paddle makes it hard to clean the paddle. I have to get a toothpick to clean the inside hole as you cannot use metal to clean it.
4. Instead of the control panel just showing what process the cycle is on, I would like to know WHICH kneading it on or WHICH rest it is on so I can judge if the dough needs water or flour.
5. Ultimately I would have loved the Breadman TR875 Bread Maker to come with an automatic fruit/nut dispenser. But I guess you get what you pay for.
FINAL THOUGHTS ON THE Breadman TR875 Bread Maker
I give this bread machine 4 stars because it does produce an excellent loaf of bread. It is a sturdy machine that does not move on the counter or shake while mixing. Other than the few things I would change I am very happy with this Breadman TR875 Bread Maker and so happy I received it. For the price paid I think it is an excellent value from a well-respected company.
