Author's Review
I just purchased this machine and fell in love immediately. It makes great coffee and is simple and convenient to operate. I had been researching machines for several months and the cost of a good machine can be staggering. However the one thing that all seemed to agree on was the need for a pump (not steam driven) machine to properly extract the coffee. The pressure, 15 bars, also seems critical.
This machine meets those basic requirements, and more. Feature wise, it is slim but has enough to make it workable. There is a large water reservoir so making several cups in a row does not need to include filing the water. There is also a convenient storage tray that holds additional filters for single shot and pod use as well as the cleaning tool. What is nice is that the cleaning instructions are also printed in this tray for reference. There is also a large drip tray that has a full indicator on it.
Brewing is a snap, I get a double shot from well tamped filter in about 20 seconds, and steam or hot water are available with a twist of the selector almost immediately.
This is my first "real" espresso machine, I had previously owned two of the steam types. The ease of operation and cleanup tells me that we will get plenty of use out of this particular machine.
The workmanship of the product is outstanding and thoughtful. Everything that is visible is stainless steel, and should provide years of good looking service.
