The Britax marathon is very safe, easy to install, and makes transition from an infant car seat something to look forward to. I have two children: 2 1/2 and 15 months... they each ride in one and seem very comfortable especially against the soft velvet-like seat cover. We just found out we will have another baby and without a doubt will be buying another Marathon. The LATCH system makes installation even easier and seems more secure. It is easily installed with a seatbelt as well, though rear facing installation is a little more time-consuming.

Don't let the price discourage you... it is well worth the money. And you won't have any regrets purchasing this seat.
