Great Game for Young Kids

This is one of the oddest games I have noticed. I thought the concept was different, so I tried it out. I found it to be a decent game, but it pretty much only appeals to very young kids.

The game begins with you building your own Build-a-Bear or other animals that are available such as bunny and frog. You go through the whole making process just like when you go to the Build-a-Bear store. This includes adding one of the six available sounds, which are all animal sounds except for the I Love You sound. You then stuff it to your liking, stitch it together, fluff it in a steam bath, and choose an outfit. This whole process is pretty easy, but a few parts lack specific instructions on how you are supposed to touch the screen and are thus confusing. For example, the stitching part of how you do not tap the circle, but rather you are to pull the needle through (logical, I know, but some younger kids think you just tap the circle and no instruction says otherwise).

Once you have your bear (or other animal) you paint your animal's new home, which is like the cardboard house you get when you buy one in their stores. It is kind of deceiving in you thinking you are going to get to choose how to color it, but in reality you just use the stylus as a paintbrush and the color is predetermined. In the new house there are different rooms to explore and mini games related to the rooms such as teaching tricks in the backyard, teaching to brush in the bathroom, and cooking treats in the kitchen. There are also fun mini games in the attic such as musical chairs. These mini games are capable of playing with people using other DSs without even needing another game cartridge. Most of these mini games in the house have good instructions and are pretty straight forward for young kids to be able to play. Older kids may enjoy the mini games a little, but I think they would get tired of them fast as I did.
