Extremely Temperature Sensitive Gadget

I purchased the Yardage Pro Sport and was quite happy with the ease of use. I planned to use it at the driving range to determine club yardage. I placed the Yardage Pro Sport in the trunk of my car and ran a couple errands. It was a 70 F spring day, so the trunk temperature might have gotten as high as 90 F. When I went to use the rangefinder, only a portion of the LCD worked. I have experimented and after several days in the house (temperature controlled), the LCD will work again. I called customer service and the representative just said that the ambient temperature should be closely controlled. BEWARE: Don't leave in your car, the trunk, or the sun.
