Author's Review
I use this as my center channel in a medium-sized room, and I am very pleased. I've upgraded my speaker system from Cambridge Soundworks a total of four times and settled on a combination that includes the MC300. It has two 4-inch bass drivers and a 1-inch silk dome tweeter. I am not a serious audiophile, but the sound that comes out of it seems to be excellent and very life-like. It doesn't seem to distort, even at levels you would probably never use.
The design is low profile, (I got it in a charcoal color), which is nice when you have it on top of your television and you don't want any visual distractions. It's also quite heavy for its size, (10 lbs.), which I've found is usually an indication of quality. The construction feels solid.
If I upgrade my system again, I'll start with my old Onkyo amplifier, then change my older-generation surrounds, and possibly my two mains. But my BassCube 10 and MC300 are just about perfect for the size room I have them in.
