Canon BJC 80 InkJet Printer

Before I got this little BJC80 color printer which I can carry in my backpack along with my IBM ThinkPad laptop, I used to have a desktop Canon printer that I carried in my suitcase but when I saw that this printer comes with a scanner attachment I decide to get this smaller sized printer. I haven't had any trouble with the printer. It seems really flimsy but actually because it is so compact, it is really pretty tough as are most Japanese products I have bought. I can be sure to find replacement cartridges both in color and black ink in every country I have visited.
However I found the scanner attachment difficult to use and real space hog on my harddrive. You have to remove the ink cartridge in order to install the scanner head. It didn't perform seamless scanning either. And the files were megabytes long. I never got as far as using OCR scanning but I think you must purchase additional software.
As a printer it does as well as the larger inkjet printers. As a scanner forget it.
