What a great camera for the price!!!

I had a Kodak Z700 for a few years until it decided to become unreliable (a very bad thing for a digital camera!). For Christmas, my husband bought me the Canon A570 IS (from my wish list). I am so excited about the quality of the photos!

My favorite things are:

1. IMAGE STABILIZATION! I didn't know how useful this would be until I actually used it. It saves many shots that would have otherwise been blurry with my old camera.

2. FACE DETECTION. This creates WONDERFUL shots by focusing in on the face.

3. IMAGE QUALITY! Wow! I really wasn't sure what to expect from a camera under $200. I hoped the quality was better than the Kodak's but didn't know if it was possible given the price difference (I spent $300 on the Kodak). Apparently, price does NOT equal quality! The very inexpensive Canon completely outshines the Kodak in every way.

4. FLASH. My Canon would wash out many pictures with the flash. They couldn't even be fixed with Photoshop. So many pictures were lost this way. But the Canon A570 IS has not washed out any of my pictures! The brightness is always appropriate.

So, as you can see, I am VERY happy with my new camera and would recommend it to anyone. The price is definitely right, and the quality is much better that a camera I had that was twice the price. If you're considering this camera, look no further! This is the one! Just be sure to get a memory card, because the 16 MB card that was included does NOT cut it!
