Aveo, A great car

I have had my 2007 AVEO5 for about one year. In that time I have put 30,000 miles on my car without any problems. I enjoy driving my car and at 6 feet and 275 LBS I fit into the car without a problem. When buying this car I traded a 2005 Chevy Silverado 4x4. I was worried about changing from such a large auto down to this little car but, I am glad that I did.
With mostly highway driving I get 35 miles per gallon and that included running the AC. My worst MPG was 29 and my best was 39MPG. The gas tank holds over 11 gallons of gas. That is nice because a driver has a range of over 300 miles before you need to start looking for a gas station.
Owning the car is great, and I would buy another one. If you are not sure about this car please sit in the car take a test drive. You will be surprised with the quality of this "cheap" car. My model has the 5 speed and it shifts nice and the clutch has a nice feel. The car is not a sports car when it comes to power but with 4 people in the car it can do 75mph without a problem. I was surprised at the power that the 1.6 liter motor made.
If you do your own oil changes the filter and the drain plug are easy to reach and the motor only holds 4 quarts of oil.
The car steers and handles very well. I feel very secure driving this car daily on the highway even when around tractor trailers. The seating position is very high and that allows for an improved field of visions compared to cars where the driver sits lower.
If Chevy would make this model with a 1.2 liter motor that could increase MPG to about 45 on the highway they would sell a load of them here in the USA!
